Italy to Face England or Denmark in Euro 2020 Final

INTERNATIONAL: Italy has reached the final of Euro 2020. Midfielder Jorginho converted the decisive spot-kick as Italy beat Spain 4-2 on penalties after their semi-final ended 1-all after extra time on Tuesday night. The Azzurri will face either England or Denmark in Sunday’s final at Wembley.

Spain missed two of their spot-kicks and are out of the competition after a heart-stirring match in front of a crowd of almost 58,000. Now unbeaten in 33 games, Italy go through to the final to face either England and Denmark, who will meet Thursday morning at 2am Cambodian time in the second semi-final.

England are the favourites, it having been 55 years since they last reached a major final at the World Cup in 1966, also at Wembley. The final will be played in London on Sunday. Regardless of whether England are in the final, the British government is allowing pubs in England to stay open for the duration of the match, even if it goes into extra time and penalties.
